1. Pentesting Solution Release: Horizon3.ai, a specialist in autonomous security solutions, has launched its Rapid Response service, now part of the NodeZero platform. This capability marks a significant advancement in autonomous penetration testing solutions by addressing a critical gap in measuring the real-world impact of exploitable vulnerabilities within the software many organizations have come to rely on, the company said.
2. Open XDR Advancement: Stellar Cyber, an Open XDR specialist, will preview its Gen AI-powered Open XDR Investigator at next week's RSA Conference in San Francisco. Powered by Generative AI, the Open XDR Investigator aims to make investigations, threat hunting and responding to attacks faster and more straightforward than previously possible. By asking simple questions, security analysts can initiate investigation, hunting and response tasks without writing a single query command or crafting complex playbooks, the company said.
3. MSP Business Program Debuts: Kaseya, a provider of IT management and cybersecurity software for MSPs and small to midsize businesses (SMBs), has launched Kaseya 365, a subscription that will "revolutionize" the way MSPs do business, the company said. MSPs will now have seamless access to manage, secure, back up and automate all their clients' environments, at a fraction of the price currently required.
4. Cloud Security Partnership: Aqua Security, a cloud native security company, and Orca Security, a specialist in agentless cloud security, are partnering to deliver cloud native security through a deep integration between their platforms. Joint customers will benefit from the combination of multi-cloud visibility and security provided by the Orca platform combined with runtime protection for cloud-native workloads offered by the Aqua platform, the companies said.
5. Malware Analysis Solution: Deep Instinct, a cybersecurity company focused on malware prevention, has launched the Deep Instinct Artificial Neural Network Assistant (DIANNA). This AI-based cybersecurity companion provides explainability into unknown threats. DIANNA enhances Deep Instinct's prevention-first approach to cybersecurity through its expert-grade static malware analysis, the company said.
6. Threat Intelligence Acquisition: Intel 471, a provider of cyber threat intelligence solutions, has acquired Cyborg Security, to provide organizations with advanced threat hunting capabilities and expertise. “We are excited to add Cyborg Security’s innovative platform and approach to threat hunting to our solution portfolio," said Jason Passwaters, CEO and co-founder of Intel 471. “Our customers have grown to rely upon Intel 471’s expertise to unlock the power of cyber threat intelligence and support all aspects of their business." 7. New Security Platform Debuts: NetSPI has unveiled a new unified platform alongside updated branding to address customer need for proactive security. The NetSPI Platform will bring together penetration testing as a service, attack surface management and breach and attack simulation, enabling customers to take a proactive approach to cybersecurity with more clarity, speed and scale, the company said.
8. Cyber Risk Offering: Critical Start, a provider of managed detection and response (MDR) cybersecurity solutions, is bringing to market the Critical Start Cyber Risk Register. The register is a key component of Critical Start's Managed Cyber Risk Reduction strategy, allowing organizations to assess, track, reduce, accept and communicate cyber risk posture and improvements to executives, boards of directors and auditors, the company said.
9. Identity Security Partnership: Axiad, an identity security specialist, has formed a strategic partnership with GuidePoint Security, a cybersecurity solutions provider. Through the partnership, GuidePoint will sell Axiad Cloud to manage credentials with hardware keys from companies such as Yubico, Thales, Feitian, Idemia and more. The combination of hardware, including smart cards or USB tokens from these companies, along with the strong credentials management of Axiad Cloud, enables organizations to verify that users are legitimate and mitigate identity-based attacks, such as phishing, push bombing and others, the companies said.
10. CISA Flags Vulnerability: The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has added one new vulnerability to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, based on evidence of active exploitation: CVE-2024-29988 Microsoft SmartScreen Prompt Security Feature Bypass Vulnerability. These types of vulnerabilities are frequent attack vectors for malicious cyber actors and pose significant risks to the federal enterprise, CISA said.
