CenturyLink, the global telecommunications and IT services company, has launched its Managed Security Services 2.0 suite in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Managed Security Services 2.0 now enables APAC organizations to leverage behavioral-based threat detection technologies to address cybersecurity challenges, Francis Thangasamy, CenturyLink's vice president of IT services and managed hosting for the APAC region, said in a prepared statement.

In addition, the Managed Security Services 2.0 launch highlights CenturyLink's commitment to accelerating and securing digital transformation for APAC organizations, the company stated.

Managed Security Services 2.0 Features

CenturyLink's Managed Security Services 2.0 suite is designed to help organizations take a proactive approach to cyber threat detection, protection and response, according to CenturyLink.

Managed Security Services 2.0 provides a variety of cybersecurity capabilities, including:

  • Incident response.
  • Security monitoring.
  • Threat detection.

Managed Security Services 2.0 integrates with existing security information and event management (SIEM) systems, CenturyLink stated, and supports entire IT stacks via a single portal. As such, Managed Security Services 2.0 can help organizations improve their cybersecurity posture and drive digital transformation, CenturyLink said.

Furthermore, CenturyLink last month announced a managed security services partnership with ThreatConnect, which provides an intelligence-based security platform.

The partnership ensures CenturyLink’s managed security services use the ThreatConnect Platform powered by the SAP HANA in-memory data platform, according to a prepared statement.

APAC Managed Security Services Market

The APAC region is expected to be the fastest-growing global market for managed security services over the next few years, which is reflected in worldwide managed security services segment projections from research firm Global Industry Analysts.

Demand for managed security services in the APAC region is expected to increase at an 18.2 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2016 and 2022, Global Industry Analysts said in a prepared statement.

Also, Global Industry Analysts has projected the worldwide managed security services market will be worth $35.8 billion by 2022.
