Meltdown, Spectre Vulnerabilities: Software Patch List for MSSPs, MSPs and Channel Partners

The technology industry is racing to patch the Meltdown and Spectre microprocessor vulnerabilities, which essentially impact every notebook, PC, server and cloud service on the planet. The list below includes links to guidance and patches from more than 20 companies — including Microsoft, Red Hat, Amazon, Google and more.

A warning: After patching, performance may be diminished by up to 30 percent, according to a US-CERT alert. Intel has downplayed the potential performance impact, and insists most users will notice little to any performance impact. Still, US-CERT says administrators should ensure that performance is monitored for critical applications and services, and work with their vendor(s) and service provider(s) to mitigate the effect if possible.
