CloudPassage, a company that specializes in cloud security automation and compliance monitoring, and log management and analytics service provider Sumo Logic inked a partnership to help organizations safeguard their modern compute environments. The partnership was announced at Sumo Logic's Illuminate user conference in San Francisco.

Through the partnership, security, IT operations and development and operations (DevOps) teams can correlate CloudPassage data with other data streams in Sumo Logic, according to a prepared statement.

CloudPassage has integrated its Halo workload security-as-a-service offering with the Sumo Logic continuous intelligence platform, the company said. Today, security, IT operations and DevOps teams can ingest security and compliance scans from CloudPassage and correlate the results with threat intelligence, infrastructure and application data to remove security blind spots, CloudPassage stated.

In addition, CloudPassage and Sumo Logic now provide organizations with a closed-loop incident response solution. The companies empower security, IT operations and DevOps teams with a real-time view of their security and compliance postures, which can help these teams detect and contain cyberattacks faster than ever before, CloudPassage noted.

Benefits of the CloudPassage-Sumo Logic Integration

Together, CloudPassage and Sumo Logic are providing organizations with automated security for workloads, containers and servers, according to a prepared statement.

The companies indicated the CloudPassage-Sumo Logic integration offers many benefits, such as:

  • Improved Security: Helps security, IT operations and DevOps teams detect indicators of compromise (IOC) for their cloud workloads and perform cloud security assessments.
  • Ongoing Compliance: Ensures end users can maintain compliance for all workloads and detect and provide the security status of workloads and containers within 90 seconds of spinning up.
  • Enhanced DevOps: Delivers immediate feedback to developers regarding software vulnerabilities, resulting in both cost and time savings.
  • Faster Incident Response: Reduces incident response time and data breach risks by analyzing logs and tracking IOC.

The CloudPassage-Sumo Logic integration also provides users with situational intelligence into their security and compliance posture, CloudPassage Vice President of Channel Sales Tim Colby noted. By doing so, the integration provides users with the ability to secure automated cloud workloads at any speed or scale, Colby said.
