ECS Opens Security Operations Center

ECS, an ASGN subsidiary that specializes in cloud managed services, digital transformation and engineering, has opened a Cybersecurity Innovation and Technology Operations Center (CITOC) in northern Virginia. The CITOC serves as the primary site for ECS's security operations center (SOC), cyber range and labs.

The CITOC provides ECS's developers and engineers with physical and virtual workspaces to perform research, development and testing, President George Wilson said. It also offers tools and resources to help ECS drive innovation and growth.

A Closer Look at the CITOC

The CITOC's SOC provides threat monitoring and detection, incident response and other cybersecurity services, ECS said. These services are powered by technologies from McAfee, ThreatQuotient and other ECS partners.

Meanwhile, the CITOC's cyber range tests new technologies, architecture and platforms, ECS indicated. It enables ECS to replicate customer environments and applications, host training events and perform cyber exercises, as well as offers on-demand access to cloud resources.

The CITOC's labs offer sandbox capabilities that allow ECS to assess vendor capabilities, according to the company. That way, ECS can perform trade studies and deliver performance test results to its customers.
