Exabeam SIEM Introduces SaaS Cloud Essential for SMBs

Exabeam, a security information and event management (SIEM) platform provider, has announced the SaaS Cloud Essential offering for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

SaaS Cloud Essential automatically collates risky user and asset information, according to Exabeam. It also depicts user and device behavior to help SMBs identify attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).

Furthermore, SaaS Cloud Essential provides automated timelines and out-of-the-box threat detection, Exabeam said. In doing so, SaaS Cloud Essential helps SMBs accelerate threat response and remediation.

We're double-checking to see if or how the new SMB offering differs from Exabeam's enterprise-class option.

Exabeam Acquires SkyFormation, Closes $75 Million Funding Round

In addition to its SaaS Cloud Essential release, Exabeam this month acquired Israeli cloud security company SkyFormation for an undisclosed sum.

The SkyFormation acquisition allows Exabeam to establish an office in Israel, the company said. It also provides Exabeam with greater access to global cybersecurity talent and helps the company extend its cloud security market reach.

Meanwhile, Exabeam in May secured $75 million in a Series E funding round. Exabeam will use the Series E financing to explore ways to bolster its sales and accelerate the development of new product features and configurations.

What Does the Future Hold for Exabeam?

Exabeam has a growing technology partner alliance program and collaborates with MSSPs, systems integrators (SIs) and other channel partners. The company will host the Exabeam Spotlight19 conference later this year and looks poised to continue to expand its channel partnerships.

Exabeam enables channel partners to offer analytics, incident response, big data and compliance and audit capabilities via the Exabeam 3D Partner Program. It also provides a cyber threat detection and response platform that leverages data collection, machine learning and analytics to help organizations combat cyberattacks.
