New Charter Technologies Launches National MSSP, Cyber74

New Charter Technologies, an MSP backed by private equity firm Oval Partners, has launched Cyber74 -- a national MSSP that will deliver managed security services to small and medium-size businesses (SMBs) in North America.

The Cyber74 business essentially combines the security capabilities of New Charter subsidiaries Digital Umbrella and MachBlue Defense.

What Managed Security Services Does Cyber74 Offer?

Cyber74 provides Tungsten Complete, an end-to-end cybersecurity management service backed by a security operations center (SOC) and incident response team, New Charter said. Tungsten Complete offers CISO-led strategy management and seven vectors of cybersecurity protection:

  • Application
  • Cloud
  • Endpoint
  • Human
  • Identity
  • Network
  • Perimeter

Along with Tungsten Complete, Cyber74 offers a variety of security services, including:

  • Breach remediation
  • Cybersecurity auditing
  • Malware and threat detection
  • Managed detection and response (MDR)
  • Security incident response

Cyber74's services address over 50 types of cybersecurity protection, the company said. These services are available to SMBs and healthcare and government organizations.

In addition, Cyber74's services are backed by full-time cybersecurity professionals on staff throughout North America, the company noted. The Cyber74 team has over 200 years of combined IT and security experience, and team members specialize in Red Team, Purple Team and Blue Team cybersecurity services.

What Does the Future Hold for Cyber74?

Cyber74 is focused on hiring cybersecurity professionals, the company stated. It plans to onboard nearly 30 additional team members in 2022 and grow its team by 180 percent by the end of 2023.

Also, Cyber74 wants to have "one of the lowest endpoint-to-SOC ratios in the industry," the company said. By achieving this goal, Cyber74's team can be proactive in reviewing and responding to security alerts and protecting its customers against cyberattacks.
