Accenture Federal Services (AFS), a subsidiary of Top 250 MSSP and global IT consulting firm Accenture, has hired Rick Driggers as its critical infrastructure cyber lead.
Driggers will focus on cybersecurity issues at the national security level, Accenture said. He also will provide thought leadership and direction in cybersecurity strategy, risk assessment and capability delivery, with an emphasis on securing critical infrastructure.
Driggers has more than 30 years of federal government and military experience, Accenture noted. He most recently served as assistant director for integrated operations at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
In addition, Driggers has served as principal deputy director of operations for the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center. Driggers also has worked as director of data and systems integration policy for the National Security Council.
What Does the New Hire Mean for AFS?
Driggers will help AFS deliver proactive risk mitigation and response solutions to its federal customers, Managing Director and Cybersecurity Practice Lead Aaron Faulkner said. In doing so, AFS is well-equipped to provide these customers with solutions that they can use to guard against evolving cyber threats.
The Driggers hire comes after AFS in June 2021 was awarded a $112 million prime task order by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CISA. With the order, AFS is required to protect Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) systems against cyberattacks.
