Cybereason, Cyderes Ink MDR Security Services Partnership

Cybereason and Cyderes, the security-as-a-service (SECaaS) division of Fishtech Group and a Top 250 MSSP, are working together to deliver a managed detection and response (MDR) solution to their joint customers.

The solution blends Cybereason Defense Platform endpoint detection and response (EDR), antivirus and threat hunting capabilities with Cyderes' MDR expertise, the companies said. In doing so, the solution can help the companies' joint customers guard against cyber risks.

Along with creating a joint solution in conjunction with Cybereason, Cyderes is one of the first MDR providers to enroll in The Cybereason Defenders League global partner program, which was launched in July 2021.

Cyderes is using the Defenders League to help organizations "manage risk, detect threats and respond to security incidents in real time," Fishtech CEO Gary Fish said. The MSSP also is further developing its MDR features and services, so it can provide SECaaS for any computing platform or environment.

Cybereason XDR Business Expansion, Funding, Channel Partner Strategy

The Cyderes partnership comes after Cybereason in July 2021 purchased Empow, an Israeli security analytics company. Cybereason will integrate Empow's predictive response technology and out-of-the-box data integrations into its extended detection and response (XDR) offerings, the company said.

Also, Cybereason in July 2021 added $275 million in a Series F funding round led by private equity and venture capital firm Liberty Strategic Capital. Cybereason will use the funding to expand its EDR, XDR and endpoint protection software business, according to the company.

Earlier, Cybereason in February 2021 hired several executives as part of its efforts to grow its channel partnerships. These hires included:

  • Abigail Maines as VP of commercial and channel sales for North America
  • Stephan Tallent as VP of MSSPs for North America
  • Ahmed Saleh as VP of incident response services

Cybereason & Cyderes, the security-as-a-service division of Fishtech Group & a Top 250 MSSP, partner to deliver a joint managed detection & response solution.
