Cybereason, an endpoint security solutions provider, and MSSP Deepwatch have unveiled a managed endpoint detection and response (MEDR) service designed to help security analysts and operations teams guard against advanced cyberattacks, according to the companies.

The news comes after Cybereason introduced a Mobile MDR (Managed Detection and Response) cybersecurity service earlier this year.

The Cybereason-Deepwatch MEDR service offers threat detection and remediation tools to help security analysts and operations teams accelerate incident response and reduce mean-time-to-repair, the companies said. It also provides security analysts and operations teams with the ability to quickly implement a managed EDR solution to stop targeted attacks.

A Closer Look at Cybereason and Deepwatch

Cybereason is an endpoint security solutions provider that operates exclusively in the channel and has raised over $200 million. The company offers the Cyber Defense Platform, which helps organizations automatically hunt for and uncover cyber threats and investigate incidents, the company indicated.

The Cyber Defense Platform includes the following endpoint security capabilities:

  • Detection and Response: Delivers endpoint detection, response and threat hunting via a single solution.
  • Prevention: Protects against malware, ransomware and other endpoint threats.
  • Security Analytics: Offers access to threat intelligence to help security analysts hunt threats.

Deepwatch delivers MDR and MEDR services via a cloud security operations platform, the company noted. In addition, Deepwatch provides vulnerability management services to help organizations evaluate relevant security assets and threats and has partnered with CrowdStrike and Splunk.
