Internet Initiative Japan Joins Cylance MSSP Partner Program

Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ), an Internet connectivity and network services provider, has become a Cylance MSSP partner. The company also will add the CylancePROTECT endpoint security management console to its Secure Endpoint Services next month, according to a prepared statement.

CylancePROTECT uses a machine learning-based algorithm to help organizations identify known and unknown cyber threats. By doing so, CylancePROTECT empowers organizations to predict and prevent cyberattacks, the company says.

With the IIJ-Cylance partnership, Japanese organizations can use CylancePROTECT to visualize their endpoint security status, the companies stated. They also can leverage CylancePROTECT to access a closed-area connection that does not require a virtual private network (VPN) layer.

Global Demand for AI-Based Security Solutions Is On the Rise

The addition of CylancePROTECT to IIJ's Secure Endpoint Services could help Cylance capitalize on the rising demand for artificial intelligence-based security solutions.

Increasing adoption of big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and other advanced technologies and rising concerns about data security are expected to drive the growth of the AI in security market in the Asia-Pacific region, according to industry analyst Reportlinker. Also, a shortage of cybersecurity professionals globally could accelerate this market's growth.

Global AI in security market revenues are projected to increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.4 percent between 2017 and 2025, Reportlinker said. Furthermore, this sector could be worth approximately $34.8 billion by 2025.
