Omega Systems, an MSP and Top 250 MSSP, has purchased IT services provider The TNS Group for an undisclosed sum.

This is technology M&A deal number 147 that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.

Omega, founded in 2002, is based in Reading, Pennsylvania. The company has 131 employees listed on LinkedIn. Omega's areas of expertise include cybersecurity, endpoint protection and regulatory compliance.

TNS, founded in 1996, is based in Stamford, Connecticut. The company has 54 employees listed on LinkedIn. TNS' areas of expertise include endpoint detection and response (EDR), mobile device management (MDM) and two-factor authentication (2FA).

Omega Expands U.S. Presence

TNS extends Omega's customer base to more than 700 midmarket and enterprise businesses across the United States, the companies said. These customers operate in the financial services, manufacturing, nonprofit and state and local government sectors.

In addition, Omega now has more than 185 total employees and a growing managed services portfolio that includes various cybersecurity services, the company said. Omega will continue to explore opportunities to bolster its portfolio so it can provide its customers with "world-class IT, security and compliance services," CEO Bill Kiritsis stated.

Omega Adds to IT Services Portfolio, Receives Investment

The TNS acquisition comes after Omega in August 2022 acquired PICS ITech, an IT services company. Omega also purchased MSP ACE IT Solutions in April 2022.

Previously, Omega in March 2022 received an investment from private equity firm Pfingsten Partners. The amount of the investment remains unknown. Omega is using the investment to deliver new services and extend its geographic reach, Kiritsis noted.

Omega offers intrusion prevention, perimeter security and other managed cybersecurity services. The company has pursued cybersecurity partnerships. To date, Omega has partnered with Fortinet, SentinelOne and several other cybersecurity companies.
