MSSP Alert 2022 Top 250 MSSPs Company Profile: CyberDome
Editor’s note: MSSP Alert is profiling companies listed on the 2022 Top 250 MSSPs list. We thank them for responding to our questionnaire.
CyberDome, ranked No. 235 on MSSP Alert’s 2022 Top 250 MSSPs list, is headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, with operations in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Founded in 2017 by Eyal Titinger, CyberDome has 25 employees focused exclusively on cybersecurity. Titinger leads business development while Chioma Iwuagwu is the company’s managing director.
Taking Charge of Africa’s Security
Titinger, a native of Israel, realized that it was only a matter of time until the hackers began to attack Africa. So, he decided to invest in establishing a cyber infrastructure and an advanced security operations center in the Nigerian capital of Abuja. Fast forward to 2022, CyberDome’s partnership with security information and event management (SIEM) supplier Securonix is reaping dividends.
As Titiner explained:
“We are the only MSSP in Africa who can offer managed services by Securonix. We also are a certified training center of EC-Council (International Council of E-Commerce Consultants), the world’s largest cyber security technical certification body.”
The company’s client roster includes the biggest electric distribution company in Nigeria, medium and large banks, internet service providers, government entities, startups, and more, he noted.
As for key priorities in 2023, Titinger said:
“The (Nigerian) government is realizing that as a regulator, they need to invest in cybersecurity. So, we will focus more on the governance and security sector. We will also expand to some other African countries with our MSSP services, along with local partners. In addition, we intend to hire many more salespeople and open branches in Lagos and other cities in Nigeria.”
Africa is the Next China
In comparing Africa to China, Titinger says the potential for growth of Nigeria’s cybersecurity industry is huge. As he explained:
“Nigeria has 200 million inhabitants, 80% of the population is under the age of 30 and most of them are university graduates. Nigeria is the world’s No. 10 producer of oil, with approximately $400 billion in revenue. In Israel with a population of nine million, there are about 60 MSSPs, and in Nigeria, which is the leading economy in Africa, there are 2-4 MSSPs. We are only scratching the bottom of the potential, and as the country’s awareness of cyber dangers increases, the demand for cyber services will skyrocket. We invite new players who want to enter the largest market in Africa, join us as partners or investors, and together we will touch the dream.”
In addition, CyberDome operates its Cyber Academy, helping Africa’s businesses, government institutions and communities to be secure and successful through advancements of cybersecurity skills and knowledge.
