MSSP Clarium, Berkley Cyber Risk Partner to Provide Endpoint Security

Berkley Cyber Risk Solutions, a W.R. Berkley company that provides cyber insurance products and loss prevention services, has incorporated Clarium managed cybersecurity offerings into its portfolio.

With the Clarium partnership, Berkley now provides Palo Alto Networks Traps advanced endpoint protection to help customers detect and prevent harmful intrusions into their networks and devices, according to a prepared statement.

Free Cybersecurity Services Trial Available to Berkley Customers

Berkley has unveiled two Traps cybersecurity packages:

  • Traps As A Service (TAAS): Provides endpoint monitoring, persistent network analysis and other cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Security As A Service (SECS): Offers the same capabilities as TAAS, along with compliance reporting, live threat hunting, quarterly security lifecycle reviews and annual penetration testing.

The aforementioned cybersecurity packages are delivered via Clarium and available to Berkley customers free of charge for 90 days. After the trial period, Berkley customers are eligible for a promotional discount for two years.

Traps: Here's What You Need to Know

Traps is a single, lightweight agent that secures endpoints against known and unknown malware, exploits and zero-day threats before they can compromise a system, Palo Alto Networks indicated. It leverages a multi-method prevention approach to cyber threat detection and mitigation, Palo Alto Networks stated, and empowers end users to safeguard cloud-, mobile and web-based applications against cyberattacks.

In addition, Traps autonomously reprograms itself using threat intelligence obtained via Palo Alto Networks WildFire, a cloud-based service that gathers real-time threat intelligence. It collects threat intelligence from a global community of customers and partners across endpoints, networks and software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications, Palo Alto Networks noted.

A Closer Look at Berkley and Clarium

Berkley provides first- and third-party cyber coverage and pre- and post-breach services. The company also offers cyber risk solutions services, including reimbursement for costs to replace, remediate and improve computer systems and establish and improve data security practices and policies.

Clarium delivers a managed cybersecurity service that enables organizations to safeguard data assets and maintain regulatory compliance, according to the company. It has partnerships with more than 25 security product manufacturers and offers an SECS platform designed to help organizations manage the complexity and costs of securing digital assets.

The Clarium SECS platform collects and analyzes security information in real-time, the company said. It leverages threat intelligence from multiple departments, Clarium noted, to help an organization prevent network attacks and protect sensitive data.
