MSSP Trustwave Intros Cyber Supply Chain Security Solution

Trustwave, a Singtel subsidiary, is the latest Top 250 MSSP to introduce supply chain-focused security services for enterprises and SMB (small and midsize business) customers.

The effort involves Trustwave's Managed Vendor Risk Assessment (MVRA) solution. MVRA involves an automated and specialist-led cyber supply chain risk assessment built on a SaaS platform. Customers gain security insights to help them vet suppliers and vendors and guard against supply chain interruptions, Trustwave asserts. Trustwave also offers Diagnostic Services to help organizations identify supply chain risks.

In recent months, multiple Top 250 MSSPs have increased their focus on supply chain security services. For instance, BlueVoyant acquired 202 Group, which provides supply chain risk management solutions to the U.S. federal government. Also, Deloitte announced a supply chain security partnership with BlackBerry.

Global Supply Chain Security Market Projected to Grow

Supply chain attacks increased 42 percent in the first quarter of 2021, according to research from the Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC). These attacks impacted approximately 7 million people.

Furthermore, the global supply chain security market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 6.3 percent between 2021 and 2026, industry analyst MarketsandMarkets stated. As such, MSSPs may increasingly look to offer supply chain security services to capitalize on this market's growth.
