Opaq Networks Launches Channel Partner Program for MSPs, MSSPs

Opaq Networks, a network security-as-a-service (SECaaS) solution provider, has launched a Channel Partner Program for managed service providers (MSPs), managed security services providers (MSSPs) and value-added resellers (VARs). The program enables channel partners to deliver the Opaq Cloud SECaaS solution to midsize enterprises, according to a company statement.

Available in silver and gold tiers, the Opaq Channel Partner Program provides partners with access to go-to-market support, financial incentives and training resources, Opaq Networks indicated. Program features include:

  • Deal registration.
  • Market development funding.
  • Rapid onboarding.

The Opaq Channel Partner Program enables partners to leverage the Opaq Cloud to grow their revenues and margins, differentiate their businesses and reduce the complexity and costs associated with managing various security products, the company said. It also empowers partners to use the Opaq Cloud to secure customer communications, protect against lateral east-west movement within a network and isolate breaches before they propagate throughout a network.

What Is the Opaq Cloud?

The Opaq Cloud helps organizations bolster their security control and business agility, according to Opaq Networks. It offers a variety of security capabilities, including:

  • Application and SaaS firewall.
  • Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation.
  • Next-generation network security.
  • Software-defined segmentation.
  • Web application firewall.

The Opaq Cloud allows partners to deliver end-to-end network security across branch offices, data centers and other distributed infrastructure, Opaq Networks stated. In addition, the solution provides partners with centralized provisioning, configuration and management of security services from a web-based portal to eliminate hardware and software investments and on-site service calls.

Opaq Networks: Here's What You Need to Know

Opaq Networks delivers a SECaaS solution to help organizations simplify control across complex, distributed networks. The company debuted last year with $21 million in Series A funding after acquiring the technology assets of Bat Blue Networks and is making strides in the SECaaS market.

Alexander McMillen

In April, Alexander McMillen, an operations and engineering executive with security expertise, joined Opaq Networks as the company's VP of operations. In this role, McMillen is responsible for delivering "operational excellence across all facets of the business," he said in a prepared statement.

Opaq Networks in May acquired micro-segmentation solutions provider Drawbridge Networks for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition enabled Opaq Networks to add monitoring and micro-segmentation technology to its SECaaS platform to help customers identify and isolate cyberattacks faster than ever before, according to the company.

To date, Opaq Networks has delivered "real, meaningful value" to its customers, the company stated. Opaq Networks customers have used the company's SECaaS solution to reduce deployment time by 91 percent, complexity by 80 percent and costs by 40 percent.
