Optiv Seeks to Transform Security Operations Centers (SOCs)

Optiv Security, a Top 100 MSSP and security solutions integrator, has announced Advanced Fusion Center cybersecurity solutions to help organizations reduce risk and operational costs.

The goal: Transform traditional Security Operations Centers (SOCs) into so-called "Advanced Fusion Centers."

The Advanced Fusion Center solutions enable organizations to customize their cybersecurity programs based on risk tolerance, business model, compliance requirements, investments and strategy, according to Optiv. They also allow organizations to leverage key performance indicators to evaluate the value and performance of their cybersecurity programs.

How Do the Advanced Fusion Center Solutions Work?

The Advanced Fusion Center solutions consolidate cybersecurity domains and controls, Optiv indicated. They use automation and orchestration technology to help organizations eliminate repetitive manual tasks to accelerate incident response.

Furthermore, the Advanced Fusion Center solutions leverage data analytics and artificial intelligence to help organizations address cyber threats, Optiv said. In doing so, the solutions help organizations mitigate risk and develop predictable and scalable cybersecurity programs.

The Advanced Fusion Center solutions are now available in co-sourced, managed and as-a-service consumption models.

Optiv Introduces Risk Transformation Services

In addition to its Advanced Fusion Center solutions, Optiv in March introduced its Enterprise Risk Transformation Service and Quickstart Risk Transformation Service at the RSA Conference in San Francisco.

The Enterprise Risk Transformation Service offers program management, quality assurance and oversight over risk transformation or remediation initiatives, Optiv said. Meanwhile, the Quickstart Risk Transformation Service provides a risk-centric model that mid-sized organizations can use to develop and execute a cybersecurity strategy.

Optiv delivers cloud security, enterprise incident management and response and other cybersecurity services to global organizations. It also maintains partnerships with more than 350 cybersecurity technology manufacturers and supports over 12,000 customers.
