Siemplify Security Orchestration Platform Gains Cloud Capabilities

Siemplify has added cloud functionality and remote execution capabilities for hybrid and multi-tenant environments to version 4 of its security orchestration, incident response and automation platform for MSSPs.

Now, MSSPs can deploy Siemplify 4.0 in public and private cloud and on-premises environments, according to a prepared statement.

Siemplify 4.0 empowers MSSPs to orchestrate and manage security tools and processes across a customer's IT environment, the company stated. The platform's features include:

  • Custom Settings: MSSPs can customize security settings and permissions based on a customer's requirements.
  • Remote Command Execution: MSSPs can run commands securely in customer environments.
  • Reporting: MSSPs can create reports to demonstrate value and deliver on service-level agreements (SLAs) and automate reports on a client-by-client basis.

In addition, Siemplify 4.0 empowers MSSPs to produce custom visual investigation graphs for specific use cases, according to the company. It also offers access to an interactive war room that provides visibility across a customer's IT environment and drives collaboration between security operations teams and executive, legal, HR and other stakeholders.

Siemplify: Here's What MSSPs Need to Know

Siemplify was founded by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) security operations experts and offers a platform that combines security orchestration and automation with contextual investigation and case management. The company helps MSSPs automate security tasks and provide customers with a wide range of security technologies via a single platform.

The Siemplify platform has been integrated with more than 100 third-party products across a variety of security technologies, including:

  • Risk management.
  • Security information and event management (SIEM).
  • Threat detection and prevention.

Siemplify ships with more than 100 pre-packaged integrations and over 80 playbooks, the company said. That way, MSSPs can use the platform to help customers address common incident response scenarios such as phishing emails, unauthorized user access and command and control traffic discovery.

Furthermore, Siemplify recorded 1,000 percent year-over-year growth in bookings and 800 percent growth across its customer base in 2017, according to the company. It also is poised to capitalize on the "explosive growth" of the global security orchestration market, Siemplify CEO Amos Stern noted.

The global security orchestration market is projected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15.3 percent between 2016 and 2021, market research firm MarketsandMarkets stated. As such, this market could be worth nearly $1.7 billion by 2021.
