SilverSun Technologies, an IT solutions and managed service provider, has won a three-year agreement worth over $1 million to deliver cybersecurity-as-a-service offerings to a financial services firm. Critical Cyber Defense Corp. (CDDC), a wholly owned SilverSun subsidiary, will deliver the services. The customer's name was not disclosed.

SilverSun's key partner on the deal is  CyberHat, an Israeli firm that offers security operations center as a service (SOCaaS) capabilities. SilverSun will deliver a variety of cybersecurity-as-a-service offerings under the agreement, including:

  • Cybersecurity assessments.
  • Hacking simulations.
  • Incident response.
  • SOC.

SilverSun launched a security-as-a-service practice with CyberHat in May 2018. In addition, SilverSun delivers cybersecurity services to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries.

The financial services cybersecurity-as-a-service agreement enables SilverSun to extend its reach to new vertical market segments, CEO Mark Meller said. It also could help SilverSun accelerate its revenue growth in the global cybersecurity and SOC markets.

Meanwhile, the financial services cybersecurity-as-a-service agreement helps CyberHat expand globally. It may help CyberHat further promote its CYREBRO security operations center-as-a-service (SOCaaS) platform to MSPs and MSSPs and grow its partner program as well.

What Is CYREBRO?

CYREBRO is a "smart SOCaaS" platform that tracks, locates and responds to cyber events in real-time, CyberHat indicated. It offers incident response, forensic investigation and other cybersecurity capabilities.

By joining CyberHat's partner program, MSPs and MSSPs can access an SOC designed, operated and managed by cybersecurity experts, the company stated. CyberHat partners also can leverage CYREBRO and other cyber security services to provide threat detection, analysis and remediation to organizations of all sizes and across all industries.
