Trustwave, a Top 250 MSSP and Singtel company, has hired Spencer Ingram as its SVP of operations. Ingram is responsible for driving Trustwave's strategy for customer experience and systems and processes that support its global business, according to a prepared statement.

Ingram previously held managed security services leadership positions at IBM and Secureworks. In these roles, Ingram led global teams across security engineering, operations, security information and event management (SIEM) and service desk and vulnerability management, Trustwave noted.

Additional Trustwave executive appointments and updates include:

  • Oriana Vogel as its chief human resources officer (CHRO);
  • Marco Pereira as SVP of strategy and transformation; and
  • Edwin Lim as GM of its Asia division.

Pereira previously served as Trustwave's VP of strategy and transformation, and Lim was the company's head of consulting and professional services for the Asia region.

Sintel Preparing to Sell Trustwave?

The new hires and promotions come during a high-growth period for the managed detection and response (MDR) market, Trustwave said.

Still, the MSSP's ownership status could potentially change soon. Indeed, parent Singtel said it was exploring a potential Trustwave company sale in early May 2021. Singtel cited the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and its impact on the IT market as one of the biggest factors in the company's decision to consider selling Trustwave.
