XONA and Pago Networks Join Forces, Expanding MSP and MSSP Partner Program

XONA, known for its “frictionless user access platform purpose-built for critical infrastructure,” is expanding its MSP and MSSP partner program by adding its first internationally-based partner, South Korea’s Pago Networks.

As an MSSP and value-added reseller (VAR), Pago is integrating XONA’s solution into its DeepACT managed detection and response (MDR) service and selling the XONA solution separately to its customer base.

XONA, which is based in Annapolis, Maryland, says it is focused on helping partners like Pago accelerate sales and drive revenue. Toward that goal, XONA has added new features to its partner program:

  • Streamlined deal registration
  • On-demand training for channel partners
  • Enhanced channel marketing programs
  • A cloud-based demo platform to demonstrate XONA’s technology to potential customers

XONA CEO Discusses Pago Partnership

Taking questions from MSSP Alert, XONA CEO Bill Moore described the advantage to its new partnership with Pago Networks:

“Our new relationship in South Korea with Pago Networks is significant because it’s our first relationship with a partner that’s headquartered in the Asia Pacific region, with a strong, local presence. Pago has an expertise in critical infrastructure industries, and there are two sides to its business — it operates as an MSSP and a VAR and our partnership crosses both.

“In addition to reselling our user access solution, Pago will offer it as part of its managed detection and response service, DeepACT34, as a way to give users frictionless and secure access to their operational technology.”

Strengthening Relationships with MSPs and More

Offering a view into the future, Moore believes that it’s critical that XONA extends its channel program while strengthening the foundation built for its partners.

Moore explained that XONA’s technology addresses an acute need for user access to operational technology that’s less complex, easier to use and more secure:

“There really is a massive need for this. Critical infrastructure is being increasingly targeted amid geopolitical uncertainty and the need for secure and compliant remote access to these systems has become paramount. Our partners, including MSP and VARs, will be an important part of XONA’s growth. We’re focused on giving partners the tools and technology to be able to meet the demand they’re seeing from operators of critical infrastructure worldwide.”

In a prepared statement, XONAnotes that its “proprietary protocol isolation and zero-trust architecture immediately eliminates common attack vectors.” Meanwhile, these capabilities “provide authorized users seamless and secure control of operational technology from any location or device.”

New Executive to Lead Growth

Adding talent to its operations, XONA has named Roneeta Lal as head of channel sales and global partners director. Lal joins XONA from Tanium where she served as partner development director for more than two years. Prior to Tanium, she held channel sales roles at Illumio, Okta, Splunk, NetApp and Symantec.

XONA said that Lal will help “expand XONA’s global footprint by empowering partners to serve customers across industries that have a growing need for secure user access to their operational technology (OT).”

Lal expressed her enthusiasm for joining XONA:

“I’ve spent more than 20 years enabling partners of some of the world’s largest technology companies to achieve the important work of securing enterprise networks and data. But XONA’s technology is different. Enterprise security is extremely important, but there usually aren’t lives at risk in the event of a breach. However, that is a strong possibility if a power plant, water treatment facility, pipeline or other critical infrastructure is compromised.

“I’m really energized by the solution XONA is bringing to market because of the difference it can make in these environments. I know it’s an offering that will be a unique value-add to our channel partners.”
