Ruby Corp., the owner of the Ashley Madison adultery website, will pay $11.2 million to settle U.S. litigation for a July 2015 data breach, according to Reuters.

Ruby Corp denied wrongdoing in agreeing to the preliminary class-action settlement, which requires approval by a federal judge in St. Louis, the report said.

Additional fallout from the case, Reuters said, included:

  • Roughly 37 million Ashley Madison subscribers had their account information exposed in the breach.
  • Ruby lost more than a quarter of its revenue because of the setback.
  • The company in late 2016 paid¬†$1.66 million to settle a security probe by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and several states.
  • Lawyers for plaintiffs¬†may receive up to one-third of the $11.2 million payout to cover legal fees.
