Private Equity Invests in MSSP, MDR Cybersecurity Firm Bridewell
The exact investment figure was not disclosed, but the move provides GCP with a minority stake in Bridewell. The money will be used as part of a five-year growth strategy, Bridewell said. Scott Nicholson and Anthony Young remain Co-CEO’s and retain their ownership over the company strategy, according to Bridewell.
The funding will help Bridewell continue to scale in the UK and Europe while increasing its presence in North America and Asia. The capital will also be used to bolster Bridewell’s offerings, including its cybersecurity and managed security services, the company said.
Bridewell’s cybersecurity services include MSSP and MDR (managed detection and response) capabilities. The company’s professional services include security operations, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, compliance, data privacy and more.
