Accelerated, SonicWall Unveil Business Continuity Hardware Bundle

Accelerated, a provider of LTE routers and failover solutions, and next-generation firewall (NGFW) company SonicWall have announced a business continuity and network security hardware bundle designed to protect organizations against cyberattacks. The companies are showcasing the bundle at this week's National Retail Federation (NRF) Retail's Big Show in New York City.

Together, Accelerated and SonicWall enable organizations to pair an LTE router with an NGFW to limit internet service interruptions, data breaches and other business continuity threats, the companies said in a prepared statement.

A Closer Look at the Accelerated-SonicWall Hardware Bundle

Accelerated's LTE devices are the first standalone 4G networking appliances certified for interoperability with SonicWall devices, according to a prepared statement. They allow network administrators to simultaneously deploy fully integrated WWAN connectivity in conjunction with a SonicWall NGFW, Accelerated stated, and leverage a mobile network based on their devices' geographic location.

The Accelerated and SonicWall hardware platforms support centralized configuration and reporting via cloud management tools, the companies said. Also, the platforms provide web-based administration to help organizations maintain remote access to networks.

Furthermore, organizations can choose from a variety of offerings from Accelerated and SonicWall, the companies indicated. These offerings include networking equipment for enterprise deployments and lightweight hardware intended for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The Accelerated-SonicWall hardware bundle is available to purchase via Tech Data, a global distributor of technology products, services and solutions. Customers can purchase hardware and services as a traditional capital expense or request a quote using Tech Data's Tech-as-a-Service (TaaS) model, which allocates the expense over a 24- or 36-month payment term.

Accelerated and SonicWall: Here's What You Need to Know

Accelerated offers cellular equipment for primary or backup networking applications, along with cellular business continuity and internet access to areas with limited broadband availability. The company was launched in 2006 and today provides LTE routers that support all major U.S. and Canadian cellular carriers.

Organizations can use Accelerated LTE routers for primary or backup 3G/4G/LTE connectivity, the company indicated. Accelerated routers reduce the risk of downtime, the company noted, and help connect an organization's machines and devices.

SonicWall combines real-time breach detection and prevention solutions with resources from more than 20,000 channel partners globally. The company provides an automated cyber defense solution that supports more than 500,000 businesses.

Meanwhile, each SonicWall NGFW delivers continuously updated threat protection, the company stated. It scans web traffic for cyber threats, SonicWall noted, and blocks unknown and zero-day attacks.

SonicWall Introduces Professional Services Partner Program, Network Security Products

SonicWall in November unveiled the Partner Enabled Services Program, which allows channel partners to provide architecture, implementation and solution professional security services. The program is now available to SecureFirst Partners in North America and EMEA, and SonicWall intends to expand the program to the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions in the first quarter of fiscal year 2019.

In addition, SonicWall in September introduced network security products for use across mobile, wired and wireless networks. The products can help organizations accelerate speed thresholds across SonicWall's data breach detection and prevention platform, according to the company.
