SafeBreach, a data breach and cyberattack simulation platform provider, has secured $15 million in strategic funding from PayPal, Draper Nexus and other investors, according to a prepared statement.
The company also has announced the following additions to its platform:
- Prioritization: Organizations can integrate SafeBreach's Risk Trends, Kill Chain Explorer and simulation analysis dashboards into their existing security operations workflows or use them in conjunction with business intelligence (BI) tools to prioritize security investments and reduce alert fatigue.
- Remediation: The SafeBreach platform can be used in combination with enterprise ticketing systems and automation and orchestration platforms to accelerate data breach and cyberattack remediation.
- Simulations: New simulations are available that are aligned to U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) alerts and the Mitre Adversarial Tactics, Techniques & Common Knowledge (ATT&CK) framework.
SafeBreach empowers organizations to stay ahead of data breaches and cyberattacks, CEO Guy Bejerano said. It enables organizations to understand their infrastructure and security risks, Bejerano stated, and remediate cybersecurity incidents faster than ever before.
A Closer Look at the SafeBreach Platform
SafeBreach offers a data breach and cyberattack simulation platform that encourages end users to play the role of hacker, according to the company. The SafeBreach platform allows users to deploy lightweight simulators across their networks, in the cloud and on endpoints to assess the entire kill chain. That way, organizations can analyze security weak points and address these issues before cybercriminals can exploit them.
In addition, the SafeBreach platform uses the Hacker's Playbook, which includes various breach methods and manages the company's distributed network of simulators. The Hacker's Playbook enables organizations to simulate breach scenarios to validate the effectiveness of their security controls without impacting users or infrastructure, SafeBreach indicated.
The SafeBreach platform also correlates and analyzes all breach methods and presents information for both security analysts and executives, the company said. By doing so, the platform allows users to view risk trends, evaluate security findings and quickly remediate security issues.
SafeBreach Reports Bookings Growth
SafeBreach increased its year-over-year bookings by 470 percent in 2017 and looks poised to expand its channel reach in the foreseeable future.
The company offers a partner program that enables MSSPs, systems integrators (SIs) and value-added resellers (VARs) to incorporate its data breach and cyberattack simulation capabilities into their offerings. As such, SafeBreach partners can use these capabilities to quantify customers' security risks and validate customers' security controls, the company noted.
