CyberDefenses, a Texas-based MSSP that offers military-grade managed security services to businesses and government agencies, has integrated the Ziften systems and security operations (SysSecOps) platform into its threat hunting and response service.
With the Ziften SysSecOps platform, CyberDefenses enhances its threat hunting and response service's endpoint visibility, monitoring and data collection capabilities, the company said in a prepared statement. Ziften's SysSecOps platform provides all-the-time endpoint visibility to strengthen the threat hunting process, CyberDefenses stated, and reduce the potential impact of cyber threats.
The CyberDefenses threat hunting and response service is designed to identify undetected threats that have breached an organization's perimeter and are moving laterally through an IT environment, the company said. It collects and analyzes security big data to detect cyber threats, CyberDefenses indicated, and helps an organization monitor and protect its network, endpoints, servers and users.
Meanwhile, Ziften offers continuous data gathering of information to help organizations assess the current and historical state of all managed devices, the company noted. It empowers IT operations and security teams to accelerate their threat response, Ziften stated, and improve their endpoint risk posture.
CyberDefenses: Here's What You Need to Know
CyberDefenses was founded in 2001 by military and cybersecurity industry veterans. The company has a dual focus on the government/public and private sectors and has experienced more than 30 percent growth per annum since its inception.
Furthermore, CyberDefenses continues to explore ways to extend its reach in the managed security services market.
CyberDefenses last month partnered with privacy consulting services provider Privacy Ref to bolster its data privacy and security services, according to a prepared statement. Now, CyberDefenses provides the following data privacy and security services:
- Application of security controls.
- Assessment of business operations relative to how well they meet regulatory requirements.
- Identification of data protection requirements.
- Incident response management, processes and procedures.
- Privacy and security team training.
CyberDefenses in June launched its Credential Tracking Service (CTS), which leverages the SpyCloud early-warning data breach detection system to pinpoint compromised enterprise account credentials.
With CTS, organizations can automatically identify compromised user credentials and implement immediate changes to user access before cybercriminals gain network entry, CyberDefenses said in a company statement. The service also offers breached account remediation options, CyberDefenses stated, and prevents compromised credentials from being applied to an employee's account in the future.
