5. Corporate Espionage: In 2016, Uber Technologies contractors trained by the CIA allegedly spied on another firm’s executives and sent live video to then-CEO Travis Kalanick in the company’s “War Room,” according to The Wall Street Journal.

4. Hackers Target School Tuition: cyber insurance company says that hackers are targeting private school fees, and parents should be careful, especially with invoices for next term being issued over the current weeks, according to Insurance Times of the UK.

3. Talent: Grainger has promoted Mark Lohman to chief information security officer. The move comes after a former Grainger contractor was arrested for allegedly hacking Grainger's servers multiple times in 2016.

2. California Database Compromise: An Amazon Web Services (AWS) server containing files and sensitive information from registered voters in California was left exposed online, allowing it to be stolen and used by cybercriminals to extort a ransom, International Business Times reported. We'll share more thoughts soon.
