9. Crypto Punishments: Japan’s financial regulator will this week slap several cryptocurrency exchanges with administrative punishment notices and is considering forcing some to suspend their business, according to Reuters and Nikkei.
8. Distribution: Tech Data France has agreed to distribute Morphisec's endpoint threat prevention solution.
7. Partner Ecosystem: IBM MaaS360 with Watson has expanded and simplified its partner program, announcing the immediate availability of new endpoint security partner apps on the IBM Security App Exchange, the company says.
6. Have It Your Way: Identity governance specialist SailPoint Technologies has unveiled a delivery and consumption strategy that spans SaaS, in the public cloud, in customer data centers or via an MSP.
5. SMB Network Access Control: Soliton Cyber & Analytics has launched NetAttest LAP One, providing MSPs with Network Access Control (NAC) for SMB customers.
4. Funding: Automox, a provider of patch management and endpoint protection solutions, has received $2.0 million in funding from Blue Note Ventures. Several prominent security industry veterans also participated in the funding. We'll share more details later today.
3. Azure Security: McAfee has extended its Cloud Security Platform to protect Microsoft Azure across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services. We'll share more details later today.
2. Talent: Armored Things, a Boston-based startup focused on IoT incidence response has hired Carbon Black veterans Chris Lord and Joshua Hartley as CTO and chief architect, respectively.
1. Bug Hunter Bounties: Kaspersky Lab is extending its bug bounty program to include rewards of up to $100,000 for the discovery and coordinated disclosure of severe vulnerabilities in Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 (the most recent beta) and Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11 (the most recent beta), running on Desktop Windows version 8.1 or higher, with the most recent updates installed. The opportunity to get this bounty is available to all members of the HackerOne platform, Kaspersky Lab’s partner for the bug bounty initiative. More details are here.
