Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) News: 11 September 2018

9. Industrial Control System (ICS) Attacks: More than 40 percent of all industrial  system (ICS) computers protected by Kaspersky Lab solutions were hit with  once or more during the first half of 2018, IT web reports.

8. LuckyMouse Attack?: The Kaspersky Lab Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT) has discovered several infections from a previously unknown Trojan, which is most likely related to the infamous Chinese-speaking threat actor, LuckyMouse. An unusual trait of this malware is its hand-picked driver, signed with a legitimate digital certificate, which has been issued by a company developing information security-related software, Kaspersky says.

7. Partnership: Firewall management software provider FireMon and customer experience platform provider KUBRA have integrated their offerings.

6. Carbon Black Expands: The endpoint security software company has opened an office in Boulder, Colorado. Related: Carbon Black's Connect conference is scheduled for October in New York.

5. Office 365 Security: HTG 360, a global MSSP serving midmarket and enterprise accounts, is leveraging Vade Secure for Office 365, an anti-phishing solution that leverages Microsoft's Graph API.

4. Privileged Access Management (PAM) for MSPs: Xton Technologies has released Xton Access Manager (XTAM) MSP, a privileged access management solution. ALSO Holding has agreed to distribute XTAM MSP to European partners.

3. RedSeal Managed Security Service: RedSeal, which specializes in network modeling and cyber risk scoring, has launched RedSeal Remote Administrator, a managed service to augment customers’ security teams, and make network situational awareness more widely available, the companies say.
