8. Biometrics and Privacy: The city of Orlando, Florida, has stopped testing Amazon’s facial recognition program after rights groups raised concerns that the service could be used in ways that could violate civil liberties, Reuters reports.
7. Talent Part One: Optiv Security has appointed Debbie Heiser as vice president, Canadian services delivery. Also, Daina Proctor was named as a regional director. And Osman Baig has joined the company as a regional director in Toronto. The security solutions integrator in recent years has made multiple moves to expand its Canadian footprint. For instance, Optiv last year acquired Conexsys, a Toronto-based security solutions provider.
6. Talent Part Two: ID Agent, a channel-focused provider of Dark Web monitoring and identity theft protection solutions, has appointed Hans Morris as its new Chief Financial Officer. Morris joined from Sonatype, a provider of software supply chain automation tools.
5. Cyber Insurance: Chubb has enhanced its cyber incident response management capabilities and launched two new ways of accessing the service: a mobile application and a dedicated web site.
4. Office 365 Security: Vade Secure has launched an Office 365 security service that protects customers from advanced phishing, spear phishing, and malware attacks. The service is available through MSPs and channel partners.
3. Identity and Access Management: Ping has introduced adaptive authentication enhancements and a streamlined way to migrate from legacy IAM systems, the company says. The updates surfaced at Identiverse Summit 2018 in Boston.

1. MSSP Dashboard: Proficio, a Top 100 MSSP and MDR provider, has unveiled an enhanced customer portal called ProView Plus. It features ThreatInsight risk scoring and executive dashboards.
