Trustwave Adds AWS GovCloud Support for Threat Detection Platform

Trustwave, a Top 200 MSSP, now offers its Fusion security platform to U.S. government agencies and suppliers via Amazon Web Services (AWS) GovCloud, according to a prepared statement.

Fusion delivers the first U.S.-only managed threat detection and response services hosted on AWS GovCloud and is in the process of FedRAMP authorization, Trustwave said. As such, government agencies and suppliers can leverage Fusion to simultaneously address cyber threats and comply with federal government security requirements.

Fusion integrates data lakes, technology actions and threat intelligence from third-party sources, Trustwave stated. It is built using security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) layers and uses analytics, machine learning and automation to improve incident accuracy and response.

Furthermore, Fusion runs in-country and enforces a “U.S. eyes only” policy, Trustwave indicated. In doing so, Fusion helps ensure that government contractors and the cyber supply chain are secure.

Fusion also provides access to APIs and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based service management, Trustwave noted. It offers access to threat hunters and threat intelligence from the global network of Trustwave Security Operation Centers (SOCs) and the Trustwave SpiderLabs Fusion Center as well.

Trustwave Introduces Security Testing Services for Government Agencies

The launch of Fusion on AWS GovCloud comes after Trustwave last year unveiled Security Testing Services for government agencies.

Government agencies can use Trustwave’s Security Testing Services to perform security scanning and testing across their IT environments, the company said. These services also allow government agencies to scan applications for unpatched vulnerabilities, exploitable code or malicious activity, conduct penetration tests and run network and web vulnerability scans.
