Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services: Involta, a hybrid IT solutions provider, has launched Involta SecureHealth, a suite of managed IT services designed to support healthcare organizations, safeguard data and drive better patient outcomes. SecureHealth leverages Alert Logic’s SaaS-based MDR platform.

2. Partnership – Microsoft Managed Security Services: ITC Secure, an MSSP, has partnered with Identity Experts, Microsoft Gold Partner for Security, to offer fully managed security services built on Microsoft’s security stack.

3. Partnership – Risk Management: RiskIQ has announced several new apps and add-ons for Splunk. The add-ons will “help security teams accelerate digital transformation initiatives as new threats are introduced to the enterprise,” RiskIQ asserts.

4. Mongo Database Ransom Threat: A hacker has uploaded ransom notes on 22,900 MongoDB databases left exposed online without a password, a number that accounts for roughly 47% of all MongoDB databases accessible online, ZDNet reports.

5. Distribution – BYOD Security: Ingram Micro Cloud has agreed to distribute SyncDog’s Trusted Mobile Workspace software.
