Webair, a cloud and managed infrastructure solutions company, has unveiled a Ransomware Recovery-as-a-Service (RRaaS) offering that enables MSSPs to help customers quickly recover from data breaches and cyberattack, the company claims.
RRaaS offers fully inclusive, managed and automated disaster recovery-as-a-service (DRaaS), according to a prepared statement. It provides data replication that includes pre-planned, automated failover and failback between production and recovery sites, Webair said, and ensures applications are as consumable to end users as they were at a production site.

Key features of RRaaS include:
- Always-on security information and event management (SIEM) and monitoring at a recovery site.
- Application programming interface (API) and portal to access applications and virtual machines (VMs) at a recovery site on-demand.
- Continuous vulnerability and penetration testing.
- Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) monitoring and mitigation.
- Integration with software-defined perimeter (SDP) and network access control (NAC) tools.
RRaaS allows for synchronous recovery point objectives (RPOs) and one-hour recovery time objectives (RTOs), Webair indicated. It also leverages a security-agnostic model, Webair noted, that allows MSSPs to deploy SIEM solutions and other tools within a recovery site.
What Does RRaaS Mean for MSSPs?
RRaaS enables MSSPs to offer a pre-planned reactive solution to help customers recover from data breaches, according to Webair.
With RRaaS, MSSPs can pair threat identification and prevention with automated disaster recovery services, Webair noted. RRaaS allows MSSPs to perform vulnerability and penetration testing on a replica environment to enable more frequent scanning without disrupting production, Webair said, and drive early threat detection and mitigation.
Furthermore, RRaaS allows MSSPs to utilize a recovery site infrastructure for up to 72 hours per month at no additional cost, Webair stated. It also provides MSSPs with the ability to restore customer applications with granular change data for up to 30 days.
Webair Introduces DR-Lite
In addition to RRaaS, Webair has announced Disaster Recovery-Lite (DR-Lite), a mid-tier product designed as a backups-as-a-service (BaaS) add-on.
DR-Lite enables organizations to adopt a tiered approach to disaster recovery, according to Webair. It provides a 24-hour RTO, up to 15-minute RPO and an always-on firewall.
Key features of DR-Lite include:
- Ability to console remote VMs.
- Ability to spin-up any backed-up VMs on-demand.
- Always-on, pre-configured networking.
DR-Lite includes annual disaster recovery testing, Webair said, and ensures customers can receive on-demand networking and technical assistance during disaster recovery events.
