Zeneth Enters SMB Market, Launches ZenOpz MSSP

Zeneth, a Virginia-based information technology and security firm that supports federal agencies, has launched ZenOpz, an MSSP that delivers cybersecurity services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

ZenOpz provides SMBs with access to information security procedures, processes and technologies to help these businesses manage data risks, according to a prepared statement. It offers a variety of managed security services, including:

  • Asset and configuration management.
  • Audit management.
  • Code review.
  • Cryptography management.
  • Cyber threat intelligence.
  • Firewall management.
  • Malware protection and response.
  • Patch management.
  • Risk management.
  • Security awareness training.

ZenOpz managed security services pricing is based on the size of a business and its required protection level, Zeneth noted. The MSSP deploys a "best fit" information security approach, Zeneth said, to help SMBs determine their required protection level and develop and manage successful cybersecurity programs.

Ultimately, ZenOpz enables SMBs to address cybersecurity regulations and consumer expectations for privacy and data security, Zeneth pointed out. The MSSP helps SMBs build, operate and maintain information security programs, the company stated, to safeguard these businesses against cyberattacks.

Zeneth has opened a security operations center (SOC) in Charlottesville, Virginia to support ZenOpz, the company stated. In addition, Zeneth has unveiled new branding and an upgraded website to further position itself for managed security services market growth in 2018 and beyond.

What Is Zeneth?

Zeneth provides application development and operations, critical program management and information security services. It also manages thousands of intrusion events across multiple SOCs, the company said, to help customers streamline cyberattack protection.

Furthermore, Zeneth offers the following managed security services:

  • Backup.
  • Firewall.
  • Incident response.
  • Intrusion detection system (IDS).
  • Intrusion prevention system (IPS).
  • Penetration testing.
  • Policy creation.
  • Threat modeling.
  • Vulnerability assessment.

In addition to the ZenOpz launch, Zeneth has made several recent moves to extend its managed security services market reach.

Zeneth in August merged with PierceMatrix, a privately held security software company that focuses on automated security response. The merger enabled Zeneth to add automation and orchestration capabilities to its cybersecurity services, the company noted.

In July, Zeneth appointed Dan Waddell as its senior vice president. Waddell possesses more than two decades of cybersecurity industry experience and is expected to help Zeneth accelerate its federal and managed security services market growth, the company indicated in a prepared statement.
