AT&T Cybersecurity Launches AlienApp for Box

AT&T Cybersecurity has released AlienApp for Box, a feature that enables AlienVault Unified Security Management (USM) Anywhere users to monitor Box environments for potential cyber threats. The company also has joined the Box Technology Partner Program.

AlienApp for Box leverages Box's granular logging capabilities and application programming interfaces (APIs) to help Box users detect and respond to cyber threats, according to AT&T Cybersecurity. It also centralizes security monitoring across software-as-a-service (SaaS) apps, public cloud and on-premises environments and remote locations and automatically collects and analyzes data across Box environments.

In addition, AlienVault USM Anywhere automatically detects cyber threats and suspicious activities against Box environments using integrated threat intelligence from AT&T Alien Labs security researchers, AT&T Cybersecurity said. This ensures AlienVault USM Anywhere users can access continuous threat intelligence updates.

Introducing AT&T's Cybersecurity Division

AlienApp for Box is a new release from AT&T Cybersecurity, which was launched earlier this year. AT&T Cybersecurity includes AT&T Managed Security Services, a Top 100 MSSP, and AlienVault, which AT&T acquired last year.

AT&T Cybersecurity is focused on accelerating customer and channel partner adoption of automation and orchestration solutions and simplifying risk management, President Barmak Meftah told MSSP Alert. The company views its MSSP business "at the top-end of the enterprise," Meftah said, and will continue to explore ways to support channel partners.
