BlackBerry Unveils Critical Event Management Solution

BlackBerry has announced BlackBerry Alert, a critical event management (CEM) solution designed to help commercial organizations respond to and recover from major incidents.

Organizations can use BlackBerry Alert to deliver clear, timely information to relevant stakeholders during a critical incident, the company said. In doing so, they can reduce an incident's impact on their operations and customers.

BlackBerry Alert integrates and centralizes data from across an organization, according to BlackBerry. It ensures that an organization's stakeholders can share information with one another to find ways to guard against incidents and respond to active incidents.

In addition, BlackBerry Alert can be used in conjunction with business tools like Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow, the company noted. IT teams can leverage BlackBerry Alert with these tools to notify and assemble a crisis team to troubleshoot and resolve issues directly within third-party applications.

What Does BlackBerry Alert Offer?

Key features of BlackBerry Alert include:

  • Early Threat Warning: Monitors multiple systems and external data sources to identify threat warning signs
  • Incident Insights: Show how an incident is developing in real-time
  • Incident Logs: Provides auditable incident logs that show what actions were taken to respond to an incident
  • Safety Monitoring: Sends updates and check-ins to track incidents and manage incident response for regulatory requirements
  • Targeted Alerts: Offers pre-set templates, distribution lists and automated workflows that let organizations send notifications to anyone, on any device and via multiple channels

BlackBerry Alert: SaaS or Managed Service Option

Also, BlackBerry Alert warns organizations when threat levels change, BlackBerry VP of Products and Services Ramon Pinero stated. It ensures that organizations can start taking action to mitigate risks in their early stages and minimize their impact

BlackBerry Alert is now available as a SaaS solution or managed service.
