Cado Security has released Cado Response Community Edition, a free version of its cloud investigation platform. Cado Response Community Edition is now available on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and can be installed through a predefined CloudFormation Template.

With Cado Response Community Edition, end-users can navigate files and folders, view activities performed on their cloud, container and serverless systems and analyze evidence for threats or indicators of compromise (IOCs), Cado Security said. They also can perform cloud-based processing and analysis of disk images captured in disk drive format and triaged items in ZIP format.

Cado Response Community Edition lets users import sample data from Cado Security, the company said. From here, users can utilize the data to teach incident responders how to investigate attacks across various systems.

Cado Security Bolsters its Cloud Investigation Platform

The Cado Response Community Edition release comes after Cado Security in May 2022 integrated cross-cloud support into its cloud investigation platform. In doing so, security teams can use Cado Response to capture data across multiple cloud platforms in a single timeline, the company said.

Also, Cado Security in April 2022 announced serverless environment support for Cado Response. That way, security teams can use Cado Response for visibility and analysis of AWS Fargate and Lambda serverless environments, the company said.
