Exabeam Delivers Cloud-based SIEM

Security information and event management (SIEM) provider Exabeam has announced Exabeam Cloud SaaS, a hosted cloud version of its Security Management Platform (SMP).

Exabeam Cloud SaaS offers full Exabeam SMP functionality, including a data lake, behavioral analytics, case management and security orchestration, the company indicated. It also ensures that organizations can ingest data from various cloud-based services, as well as leverage incident response playbooks to detect and address cyber threats.

The launch arrives just as Microsoft unveils Azure Sentinel -- a cloud-based SIEM platform that's available as a free preview. Additional rivals, such as Netsurion, specifically promote SIEM to MSPs.

How Does Exabeam Cloud SaaS Work?

Exabeam Cloud SaaS enables security analysts to collect log data and automate incident response, according to the company. Furthermore, Exabeam Cloud SaaS helps security analysts avoid the infrastructure costs and maintenance issues commonly associated with SIEM deployments.

Exabeam Cloud SaaS is now available, and it can be used in myriad environments and configurations, including on-premises, public cloud, SaaS, hybrid or as a managed service. Also, Exabeam customers can license Exabeam Cloud SaaS via Exabeam Spectrum deployment options.

Exabeam Adds Technology Alliance Partner Designations

In addition to its Exabeam Cloud SaaS announcement, Exabeam this week introduced the following Technology Alliance Partner designations:

  • Validated Design Partner: Available to partners that use of at least one product that can be automated by the Exabeam Incident Responder solution and pre-built rules and models for the Exabeam Data Lake and Exabeam Advanced Analytics solutions. Exabeam also provides Validated Design Partners with access to solution briefs and implementation guides.
  • Certified Design Partner: Available to partners that use of at least one product that can be automated by Exabeam Incident Responder and pre-built rules or models for Exabeam Data Lake or Exabeam Advanced Analytics.
  • Integrated Design Partner: Available to partners that at least one product supported for data ingestion and parsing by either Exabeam Data Lake or Exabeam Advanced Analytics.

Channel partners can integrate Exabeam SMP into their portfolios to help customers track anomalous behavior and secure their cloud services, machines, devices and Internet of Things (IoT) assets. By doing so, channel partners can leverage Exabeam SMP's data collection, machine learning and analytics for cyber threat detection and response.
