MSP Masergy Launches Managed Cloud Access Security Broker Solution

Masergy, a Texas-based managed service provider (MSP) that offers cloud communications and hybrid networking solutions, has launched a Managed Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solution to help organizations address software-as-a-service (SaaS) security risks.

The company also has added Managed CASB to its Unified Enterprise Security (UES) managed detection and response (MDR) platform, according to a prepared statement.

Managed CASB is a turnkey managed service delivered in combination with CASB Bitglass, Masergy indicated. It provides security monitoring and incident response for cloud applications, governs both officially sanctioned and unmanaged shadow IT apps in use and enables organizations to leverage identity and access management (IAM) to improve their security posture.

Organizations can use Managed CASB in conjunction with a variety of applications, including G-Suite, Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce. Furthermore, organizations can integrate Managed CASB SaaS security alerts into UES, according to Masergy.

Managed CASB also offers managed monitoring and response services to augment Netskope and Skyhigh CASB deployments, Masergy said. By doing so, the solution provides organizations with control, compliance and visibility in the cloud and end-to-end data and threat protection for applications on all devices.

Masergy Introduces Office 365 Security Monitoring

In addition to launching Managed CASB, Masergy in January unveiled Office 365 Security Monitoring, a managed solution that analyzes Office 365 data and correlates security events via UES.

Office 365 Security Monitoring leverages Microsoft's cloud app security analytics with UES to provide continuous security monitoring, Masergy said. That way, organizations can use the solution to identify and respond to Office 365 attacks before damage occurs.

Masergy provides consulting and customized policy configuration and response procedures to support Office 365 Security Monitoring users, the company stated. Office 365 Security Monitoring also alerts Masergy's security operations center (SOC) about Office 365 attacks to accelerate incident detection and response.

Office 365 Security Monitoring is now available to Masergy customers at no additional cost.

Masergy owns and operates an independent software-defined platform that is used to deliver managed security and other solutions. The company boasts a 99 percent customer retention rate and partners with value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators (SIs) and IT solution providers around the globe.
