CrowdStrike Endpoint Protection Secures $200 Million in Funding
CrowdStrike, which specializes in cloud-delivered endpoint protection, has added $200 million in funding, increasing its total financing raised to more than $480 million and its total valuation to more than $3 billion, the company says.
The funding enables CrowdStrike to keep pace with the global demand for its Falcon endpoint protection platform, according to a prepared statement. In addition, the funding helps CrowdStrike accelerate the growth of its operations and drive innovation, technology development and geographic expansion, CEO George Kurtz (pictured above) stated.
How Has CrowdStrike Performed Over the Past Year?
CrowdStrike doubled its revenue and headcount in the past year, the company stated. Other notable CrowdStrike milestones during the time frame included:
- 500 percent year-over-year growth in the number of $1 million or greater annual contract value (ACV) transactions.
- 172 percent year-over-year growth in new subscription bookings ACV.
- 167 percent year-over-year growth in the number of subscription customers.
- 140 percent year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue.
CrowdStrike serves more than 16 percent of Fortune 1000 companies and 20 percent of Fortune 500 companies. It also processes over 100 billion security events daily.
What Is the Falcon Platform?
Falcon offers threat visibility and protection across an organization and prevents cyberattacks on endpoints on or off a network, CrowdStrike indicated. It correlates security events from across the globe to prevent and detect threats.
Furthermore, Falcon offers both next-generation antivirus and endpoint detection and response capabilities to protect organizations against all types of cyberattacks, CrowdStrike noted. It also uses signatureless artificial intelligence (AI) and indicator of attack-based threat prevention to stop known and unknown threats in real-time.
CrowdStrike Introduces $1 Million EPP Complete Warranty
CrowdStrike this month launched the Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) Complete warranty of up to $1 million if a breach occurs within a Falcon customer’s protected environment.
With EPP Complete, CrowdStrike handles Falcon administration and monitoring, according to the company. It empowers organizations with threat prevention, detection and response capabilities, CrowdStrike stated, and safeguards them against rapidly changing cyberattack tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
