MDR Partnership: MSSP Red Canary, SentinelOne Announce Pact

Red Canary, a Top 250 MSSP and Top 40 MDR (managed detection and response) provider, has integrated the SentinelOne Singularity extended detection and response (XDR) platform into its Security Operations Platform.

In doing so, organizations can leverage Red Canary’s MDR capabilities in combination with SentinelOne’s autonomous security capabilities to simplify cybersecurity across their networks.

Together, Red Canary and SentinelOne provide organizations with 24×7 security operations monitoring, the companies said. They help organizations find and stop cyber threats and lower their mean time to respond to them.

In addition, Red Canary and SentinelOne deliver security guidance and coverage, context and insights for attacker behaviors, the companies indicated. They also map threats to the MITRE ATT&CK framework to provide insights into cyberattacks.

Red Canary: MDR Security Business Details

Red Canary’s Security Operations Platform provides threat detection, hunting and response capabilities across endpoints, cloud deployments and network devices, the company stated.

Red Canary in February 2021 secured $81 million in Series C financing for research and development (R&D), expanded sales and marketing teams, and to “explore ways to meet growing demand for its security operations and MDR solutions,” the company said at the time.

Red Canary has raised more than $125 million to date. The MSSP and MDR provider also recorded 100 percent growth in customers from channel partners and 100 percent growth in its sales and customer success teams in 2020.

SentinelOne MSP Partner Momentum & Red Canary Business Milestones

SentinelOne’s Singularity XDR uses behavioral artificial intelligence to monitor, map and contextualize data across endpoints, cloud workloads and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It connects attack surface and network data via curated Storylines that score risk, determine when malicious activity occurs, and to stop and remediate unauthorized changes at machine speed, the company asserts.

SentinelOne has built relationships with key companies across the MSP software and technology ecosystem. Key partners include AT&T Cybersecurity, ConnectWise, High Wire Networks and N-able (formerly SolarWinds MSP), among others.

Roll all those partnerships together, and SentinelOne drives more than 90 percent of its revenue from channel, MSP and MSSP relationships, the company revealed during the SentinelOne IPO process in early 2021.
