Stellar Cyber Open XDR, Barracuda Integrations: Potential MSSP Benefits

Stellar Cyber's Open XDR platform now integrates with multiple Barracuda products. The result: MSSPs that run Stellar Cyber's software in combination with Barracuda's technology can gain correlated threat analysis, threat hunting, and automated remediation capabilities, Stellar Cyber SVP of Global Business Development Paul Jespersen said.

In other words, MSSPs can collect and ingest data from their existing Barracuda security tools, identify and prioritize security threats and maximize the efficiency of their security operations centers (SOC), Stellar Cyber asserted.

The Stellar Cyber Open XDR integrations support:

  • CloudGen Firewall: Stops traffic to a cybercriminal's website and flags the target for other attacks if a user clicks on a phishing link.
  • Total Email Protection: Signals and alerts Open XDR users about possible phishing and brand-hijacking attacks to harvest credentials.
  • Web Application Firewall: Protects against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, bad bots and other app-based threats.

The Barracuda integrations deliver "a new level of visibility and SOC capabilities" for MSSPs, Jespersen noted. In doing so, they empower MSSPs to add SOC-as-a-service offerings to their portfolios.

MSSP True Digital Security Leverages Stellar Cyber

The Barracuda integrations come after MSSP True Digital Security in November 2021 integrated Stellar Cyber's XDR platform into its offerings.

True Digital Security uses Open XDR's security information and event management (SIEM) capabilities to automate data correlation and analysis, Stellar Cyber indicated. Furthermore, True Digital Security utilizes these capabilities to show its customers how they can improve their security posture.

Stellar Cyber offers the Jumpstart Partner Program to MSSPs and MSPs. It also has made several upgrades to Open XDR in 2021 as part of its efforts to foster new channel partnerships.
