Stellar Cyber has integrated its Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) into its Open XDR platform, according to a prepared statement. In doing so, Open XDR eliminates the need for Stellar Cyber customers to subscribe to and manage third-party threat intelligence feeds.
Open XDR users can leverage TIP to automatically collect and aggregate feeds from multiple sources into a single consolidated threat intelligence resource. This enhances Open XDR’s threat detection, investigation, hunting and response capabilities.
How Does TIP for Open XDR Work?
Open XDR customers can use TIP to access commercial and non-commercial threat intelligence from Proofpoint, OpenPhish and other sources, Stellar Cyber noted. They also can integrate third-party threat intelligence feeds directly into their Open XDR instance to obtain intelligence on specific threats.
TIP supplies threat information to Open XDR’s analytical engines for processing, analysis and remediation, Stellar Cyber said. It also provides bi-directional feeds to Open XDR and ensures that Stellar Cyber customers can use the platform to share details about new threats with one another.
In addition, TIP offers a sandbox for zero-day malware and advanced persistent threat analysis, Stellar Cyber stated. That way, Open XDR users can inspect suspicious files without the risk of damage to their infrastructure.
TIP for Open XDR is now available. Furthermore, Stellar Cyber plans to add new third-party threat intelligence feeds to improve Open XDR’s capabilities.
No doubt, MSSPs and MSPs are seeking to simplify how they gather, manage and cull the right information from threat intelligence feeds. With those goals in mind, CompTIA has been expanding an Information Sharing and Analysis Organization to offer proactive threat intelligence and actionable analysis for vendors, MSPs and solutions providers.
