Barracuda Networks, has announced its Forensics and Incident Response solution is now generally available. The product was previously available exclusively to Barracuda Total Email Protection customers.

Forensics and Incident Response allows organizations to respond to targeted attacks that were delivered to users' inboxes, Barracuda said. It provides remediation options to help organizations address security issues, along with geo-IP-based insights to determine geographical patterns in threats.

Furthermore, IT administrators can use Forensics and Incident Response to send alerts to affected users and remove malicious mail directly from users' inboxes, according to Barracuda. They also can leverage integrated domain-based phishing protection via Barracuda Content Shield to detect and block malicious domains for all users.

Barracuda Acquires Bot Mitigation Company

In addition to its Forensics and Incident Response announcement, Barracuda in August 2019 acquired bot mitigation company InfiSecure Technologies for an undisclosed sum. Barracuda intends to integrate InfiSecure bot detection and mitigation capabilities into its Advanced Bot Protection service, the company said.

Meanwhile, Barracuda has recorded 280 percent international MSP partner growth over the past two years, the company said. Barracuda's MSP partners offer advanced threat protection, data loss prevention (DLP) and other multi-layered security and data protection services to global customers.
