Alert Logic MDR Gains Web App Threat Detection Capabilities

Alert Logic has announced new web application threat detection capabilities for its managed detection and response (MDR) platform. These capabilities enable organizations to use the platform to identify security blind spots and eliminate false-positive alerts, according to a prepared statement.

Organizations can leverage Alert Logic's MDR platform to analyze web access logs to uncover anomalous behavior and reconnaissance activities that elude web application firewalls (WAFs) and other preventative security technologies, the company said. They also can use the platform to maintain visibility across their assets and quickly identify and respond to cyber threats.

In addition to web application threat detection, Alert Logic has incorporated the following capabilities into its MDR platform:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) Control Tower support, which allows organizations to use Alert Logic's MDR platform to manage their AWS accounts
  • Ability to link the MDR platform to IT service management systems
  • Software development portal that provides guidance to help organizations build and embed their own automation and integrations
  • File integrity monitoring that tracks the integrity of system directories, registry keys and values on operating systems and covers PCI DSS 10.5.5. and 11.5 requirements

Alert Logic's new MDR platform capabilities are now available.

Introducing Alert Logic's MDR Partner Program for MSPs

The new MDR platform capabilities come after Alert Logic in August added an MSP tier to its Partner Connect program. MSPs can join Partner Connect to integrate Alert Logic's MDR platform into their offerings, as well as access security analysts who perform security operations center (SOC) and network operations center (NOC) monitoring and management, the company said.

Alert Logic's MDR platform provides real-time access to information on risk, vulnerabilities, remediation activities, configuration exposures and compliance status, the company said. Multiple MDR coverage options are available, and each is designed to help organizations detect and mitigate threats across their IT environments.
