SimSpace, a specialist in military-grade cyber ranges, has announced the commercial release of its upgraded SimSpace Cyber Force Platform, the company announced in a prepared statement.
During a period of unprecedented geopolitical risk, says SimSpace, leading organizations can now use the same advanced technology as U.S. national cyber defenders and global intelligence agencies. Correspondingly, SimSpace can “compress three years of cyberattacks into 24 hours to ensure the highest levels of mission and defensive readiness.”
Russia-Ukraine Conflict Fuels Cyberattacks
The Russian-Ukraine conflict has fueled a near 50% increase in cyberattacks in the first half of 2022, SimSpace stated. Businesses of national significance are seeking battle readiness for their cyber teams, using SimSpace's high-fidelity range capabilities to improve team and process performance, consolidate tools, and reduce costs, the company said.
The C-suite, board members, investors, shareholders, insurers, regulators, and audit committee members are grappling with the need for more concise quantifications of risk posture, SimSpace stated. As such, military-grade cyber ranges provide answers to those hard questions, helping businesses make decisions about changes in key parts of their cyber spending.
Organizations that have deployed the Cyber Force Platform have achieved a 30% reduction in cyber operational costs and a 40% reduction in breaches in their production environments, SimSpace reports.

SimSpace Strengthens Executive Leadership Team
SimSpace provides cyber security simulations, training and safe live-fire exercises previously only available to the U.S. Cyber Command and the world's most advanced intelligence agencies, the company said. As part of their international expansion efforts, SimSpace has added locations in London, Maryland (U.S.), Prague, Munich, Dubai, Tokyo, Singapore and Sydney to expand its global customer base, sales and support operations.
Now, to keep pace with its growth, SimSpace has added to its leadership team by naming James Gerber as chief financial officer and Ross Brewer as executive vice president.
Gerber and Brewer have more than 60 years of combined cybersecurity experience:
- Gerber will lead SimSpace's business and financial operations to support global growth. Prior to joining SimSpace, Gerber was the chief financial officer for IronNet.
- Brewer will lead SimSpace's international sales and operations for EMEA and Asia Pacific-Japan (APJ). Ross was previously vice president of EMEA and APJ for AttackIQ and held sales leadership roles at LogRhythm and Symantec.
