Votiro, a zero trust content security solutions company, and cross domain and data diode technology provider Owl Cyber Defense have launched a joint solution designed to protect government networks against file-based threats.

The solution combines Votiro’s content disarm and reconstruction (CDR) with Owl’s cross domain and data diode solutions to secure file transfers across government networks, the companies said. It ensures secure flow of files and content between networks at various security levels.

In addition, the solution protects these networks against zero-day, known and unknown malware and ransomware while content is in motion.

Votiro-Owl Joint Solution Supports a Variety of Use Cases

Organizations can use the Votiro-Owl joint solution in several ways, including:

  • Receive contracts, engineering drawings and medical claims from a third party via a web page to an IT network
  • Transfer confidential data, Microsoft Office data, archives and cybersecurity feeds from an IT network to an isolated government network
  • Transfer financial files from bank clients

The solution is now available and sold exclusively through Owl.

Owl Appoints CEO, Eyes Multimillion Dollar Military Contract

The Votiro-Owl joint solution comes after Owl in August 2022 named Ken Walker as its CEO. Walker succeeds Robert Stalick, who retired from Owl. He also serves as Owl’s president and has held this role since April 2022.

Furthermore, the Missile Defense Agency in June 2022 announced Owl was one of two finalists for a five-year, $249.1 million contract to provide development, testing and implementation support for the Foreign Military Sales Cross Domain Solutions program. Along with Owl, Northrop Grumman was named a finalist for the contract.

Owl offers cross domain, data diode and portable media solutions that provide network security checkpoints that organizations can use to protect against threats and safeguard their data, the company noted. OEMs, resellers and VARs can join Owl’s partner program to integrate these solutions into their portfolios.
