TD Synnex Debuts Anti-Fraud Defense Solution for SMBs

Credit: Microsoft Azure

TD Synnex, a global distributor and solutions aggregator, has launched a new anti-fraud defense solution that integrates Microsoft Azure services for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

Elevating Azure Security

The SMB Fraud Defense Click-to-Run features phishing prevention, proactive alerts and warning signals intended to reduce day-to-day risks in cloud operations and elevate organizations’ Azure security posture. The solution integrates Azure Active Directory to enforce conditional access policies to help organizations better control how users access corporate resources. It also enables organizations to take advantage of Azure built-in cost management features.

To make its case, TD Synnex pointed to a few studies around cybersecurity preparedness, the spiking of incidents and the cost of a data breach. For example, a recent Thought Lab study of 1,200 large organizations across 14 different sectors and 16 countries found that 29% of chief executives and chief information security officers and 40% of chief security officers said their organizations are unprepared for a rapidly changing threat landscape.

In addition, a new IBM Security study found that the global average cost of a data breach reached an all-time high of $4.35 million per organization. A Fundera study showed that more than 40% of cyberattacks targeted small businesses.

Company Leaders Comment

Ed Morales, TD Synnex global vice president of security and high-growth business development, offered his take on TD Synnex's advancement:

“Microsoft offers robust security measures as part of their products. However, this does require specific configuration and management for full effectiveness. To further protect partners and customers against cyber threats, TD Synnex developed this simple to deploy pre-configured solution designed for SMB customers to help mitigate fraudulent attacks and elevate their Azure environment security posture.”

Steve Salmon, lead Azure architect at Managed 247, added:

“This solution will allow us to easily create consistent security and cost baselines for our customers in Azure, which as an MSP of many customers that consume Azure services, is vital to us. Educating partners on the key benefits of cost management and conditional access will help prevent major issues for their customers in the future.”
