ThreatBlockr has updated its cyber threat intelligence and defense platform to provide MSPs with "more blocking powers and the ability to understand and manage unexpected threats in ways that were previously not possible," according to a prepared statement.
The platform updates include:
- Simplified policy configurations and access controls
- Easier protection of networks and ports
- Management system improvements
The updates enable MSPs to use ThreatBlockr's platform to generate more insights into cyber threats and why they are blocked, CTO Pat McGarry said. As such, they help MSPs stop block cyberattacks across their customers' IT environments, prioritize security alerts and analyze threats.
In addition, MSPs can utilize ThreatBlockr's platform to "prevent traffic to and from millions of malicious IP addresses and domains," CEO Brian McMahon said. They also can leverage threat intelligence to block malicious outbound traffic and protect against millions of malicious IP addresses and domains.
ThreatBlockr Announces MSP Partnerships
The platform updates come after ThreatBlockr in November 2022 partnered with UbiStor, an MSP that specializes in data protection and disaster recovery. Ubistor has integrated ThreatBlockr's platform into its SafeStor data protection and disaster recovery-as-a-service offerings, the companies said.
Also, MSP Trinsio in September 2022 integrated ThreatBlockr's platform into its offerings. In doing so, Trinsio is providing its customers with a "foundational layer of security... and monitoring, managing and blocking every threat easily," CTO Lane Livingston said.
A Closer Look at ThreatBlockr
ThreatBlockr utilizes threat intelligence from over 50 security vendors to provide its customers with visibility into the threat landscape and help them improve their security posture, the company said. MSPs deploy the company's platform to protect their customers' networks against threats.
ThreatBlockr continues to explore MSP and MSSP partnerships. The company in 2022 hired former Avant and NetApp leader Bill Franklin as its head of business development to expand its MSP and MSSP business. MSPs and MSSPs also can join ThreatBlockr's partner program to integrate the company's platform into their offerings.
