Vandis, an MSP with deep cybersecurity skills, has integrated the Barracuda CloudGen WAN solution into its Microsoft Azure Lighthouse managed service offerings, according to a prepared statement. In doing so, Vandis can provide an SD-WAN solution that leverages the Azure Virtual WAN (vWAN) networking service.
Organizations can use Vandis' new offering to connect their branch offices to a CloudGen WAN gateway inside a vWAN hub, the company said. This ensures that organizations can maintain anywhere, anytime application access with a central point of administration.
Furthermore, organizations can leverage Vandis' offering for ongoing SD-WAN network monitoring and management, the company stated. The offering also can help organizations unify security policies across their branch offices, remote users and cloud environments, improve their uptime and fine-tune their security configurations.
Vandis' new offering helps global organizations manage their connectivity from their branch offices to the cloud and apps, Barracuda VP of Global Alliances Nicole Napiltonia said. It enables these organizations to deploy and optimize SD-WAN networks, keep their security configurations up to date and guard against cyberattacks.
In addition, Vandis' offering allows organizations to connect their remote locations, CTO Ryan Young stated. It also ensures that organizations can stay connected to their data centers and cloud environments.
What Does SD-WAN Mean for MSPs and MSSPs?
Many organizations are letting employees work remotely during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and they are increasingly using SD-WAN solutions to simultaneously bolster their distributed networks and improve their operations. As such, SD-WAN could provide a valuable opportunity for MSPs and MSSPs.
For instance, MSSPs can leverage SD-WAN to help customers improve their networks and traffic to remote locations and branch offices, Fortinet indicated. They also can use SD-WAN to monitor networks, simplify remote office infrastructure and extend security to the access edge.
